Frequently asked questions.

  • Yes! You can use your hours on any subject you like! Whether you have multiple subjects or a primary and a secondary (or others!) we can accommodate your needs!

  • Yes! Hours are transferable between members of the same household. Please let us know if you wish to do this.

  • Yes! We allow up to 3 students at a time for no additional charge. Students should be taking the same class.

  • Of course! We value parental involvement with every stage of education! Parental involvement is encouraged.

  • For individual sessions: We require 48 hours notice for full reimbursement. Between 48 and 24 hours notice, we will only deduct half of the scheduled time from your account balance. Within 24 hours notice, we are unable to offer a refund.

    For packages: We understand circumstances change. We have worked hard to create a generous cancellation policy. You may request a refund for your unused hours up to one month from the original date of purchase. After such time, we cannot refund your hours but they do not have any expiry. Your hours do not expire.

    Due to our steep package discounts, you will only be refunded as if you had originally purchased a smaller package. For example: If you purchased a 12 hour package and only used 4 hours, you will be refunded $360.

    If your child is sick please let us know as soon as you can. We understand that children can get sick and will do our best to accommodate you. We do ask that you reschedule the session within 1 week of the scheduled session time to avoid the cancellation fee.

  • That’s up to you! All of our tutoring sessions occur online. We use video software that includes an online whiteboard. For best session quality, we recommend a quiet and comfortable location.

  • All students must have a computer with a working internet connection, webcam, and microphone. We recommend checking your browser to ensure that it is updated.

    For our math and physics students, we recommend a writing pad, like this one. This makes it easier for students to complete the necessary problems and practice showing their work.

  • To purchase tutoring hours, please view our packages here. Once we review your request, a member of our team will reach out to you about scheduling.

  • Due to the nature of our pricing plan and our focus on affordability, we offer steep discounts for larger packages. As such, we do not offer payment plans. We will never automatically charge your card for any services.

  • Please email the files as an attachment to materials@extendedtutoring.com with the student’s full name in the subject line.
